Conviction to be kept among records of Court

Every Justice before whom any person is convicted of any offence enumerated in section 9 shall sign the record of such conviction which shall be kept by the proper officer among the records of the Court; and, upon any information against any person for a subsequent offence, committed as hereinbefore mentioned, such conviction, or an examined copy thereof, certified by the Clerk of the Court, shall be sufficient evidence to prove a conviction for the former offence; and the conviction shall be presumed to have been unappealed against, until the contrary be shown.
