A person who, for the purpose of obtaining a benefit or other payment under a standard health insurance contract, whether for themselves or some other person, or for any other purpose connected with this Act, knowingly — (a) makes a false statement or false representation; or (b) produces or furnishes or causes or allows to be produced or furnished information or any document which that person knows or believes to be false in a material particular, commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of two thousand dollars and on conviction on indictment to a fine of five thousand dollars.
