False statements

A person —
who, in giving any information for the purposes of this Law, knowingly or recklessly makes any statement which is false in a material particular; or
who, with intent to deceive —
forges or uses, or lends or allows to be used by any other person, any certificate under this Law; or
makes, or has in the person's possession, any document so closely resembling any certificate under this Law as to be calculated to deceive,
commits an offence and is liable —
on summary conviction to a fine equal to twenty-eight days' pay or to imprisonment for a term of six months, or to both; and
on indictment to a fine equal to two months' pay or to imprisonment for a term of two years, or to both.
