10. The place in which any court sits for the purpose of trying any offence or for the purpose of hearing any other proceedings relating to an offence shall be an open court to which the public generally may have access, so far as the same can conveniently contain them: Provided that the court, if it thinks fit at any stage of the proceedings of any particular case, may order that the public generally or any particular person shall not have access to or remain in the room or building used by the court.
