Obligation of secrecy and confidentiality

Every person on receiving, investigating or otherwise dealing with a disclosure under this Law shall regard and deal with as secret and confidential —
the identity of the person making the disclosure and any disclosure made; and
any statement given, or document, information or thing provided, to the person in the carrying out of an investigation,
and any statement given, or document, information or thing provided, given in furtherance of an investigation or any legal or disciplinary proceedings shall not be regarded as being inconsistent with the obligation for secrecy and confidentiality.
