Offences in relation to publications, the importation of which is prohibited

A person who imports, sells, offers for sale, distributes or reproduces any publication, the importation of which is prohibited under section 53, or any extract therefrom, commits an offence and is liable to a fine of one thousand dollars and to imprisonment for three years and such publication shall be forfeited to the Crown.
A person who, without lawful excuse, has in that person's possession any publication the importation of which is prohibited under section 53, or any extract therefrom, commits an offence and is liable to a fine of five hundred dollars and to imprisonment for two years and such publication shall be forfeited to the Crown.
