A person who contravenes this Part with respect to dangerous goods, including regulations made under section 237, commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of twenty thousand dollars.
Where a contravention involves the marking, packing, stowing or quantity of dangerous goods within a ship, that ship shall be deemed, for the purposes of Part 11, to be unsafe by reason of improper loading.
