Unless expressly provided otherwise, this Part applies to all ships to which the Safety Convention applies and to cargo ships of less than five hundred gross tonnage.
The provisions of this Part respecting carriage of dangerous goods in packaged form or in solid form in bulk do not apply to ships’ stores and equipment, including ships’ distress signals.
This Part and any regulations made under section 237 respecting dangerous goods shall apply to all Cayman Islands ships and to all foreign ships while loading or discharging cargo or fuel, or embarking or disembarking passengers, at any place in the Islands as they apply to Cayman Islands ships.
