Effect of payment of proceeds

Any payment of proceeds made to a policy holder or beneficiary by the insurer in accordance with this Law and the contract of insurance shall discharge the insurer from any further liability under the relevant contract of insurance and the insurer shall not thereafter be responsible for, or be required to see to, the application of the payment.
