Payment for prescribed treatment programme

Subject to subsection (2), where the Drug Court makes an order under section 13(2), requiring a drug offender to undergo a prescribed treatment programme, the Drug Court may, in the order, require the drug offender to make a financial contribution towards the cost of the prescribed treatment programme.
The sum payable by a drug offender in respect of a prescribed treatment programme relating to him may be waived, in whole or in part, by the respective approved treatment provider if, after such assessment as shall be prescribed in regulations has been carried out, the approved treatment provider is satisfied that the drug offender is unable to pay all or any part of the sum.
