Appearance of both parties

If both parties appear, the court shall proceed to hear the case and the substance of the charge or complaint shall be read to the accused person by the court and the accused person shall be asked whether such person admits or denies it.
In a case in which the accused is a corporation, it shall be sufficient if the corporation appears by a representative appointed in writing purporting to be signed by a person (by whatever name called) having or being one of the persons having the management of the affairs of the corporation.
