Duties of Chair and Deputy Chair

The duties of the Chair include —
chairing meetings of the Board;
instructing the Chief Executive Officer on behalf of the Board;
signing Minutes of meetings of the Board;
apprising the Board of matters raised by stakeholders;
making best efforts to guide the Board in accordance with sectoral legislation and any Policy directives; and
participating in public relations or education campaigns on behalf of the Board.
In the case of the absence or inability of the Chair to act, the Deputy Chair shall perform the duties of the Chair.
