Where, immediately prior to the date of commencement of the Utility Regulation and Competition Act, 2016 [Law 49 of 2016], a licensee held a licence which contained a waiver similar to that which is contained in section 46(5), the waiver shall be deemed to be a waiver granted by the Office under section 46(5) and shall continue in force subject to the conditions contained in the original waiver.
