Penalties for contravention of section 49

51. (1) A person who contravenes section 49 is liable on summary conviction to a fine of three thousand dollars or to imprisonment for one year, or to both.
Where a person is convicted of the contravention of section 49, the court may order that any goods or money in respect of which the offence was committed and is in that person’s possession, be forfeited to the Crown or otherwise disposed of.
