Interpretation

In this Law, unless the context otherwise requires -
means the Pharmacy Board established under section 3;
means the Chairman of the Board designated under section 4;
means the person for the time being holding or acting in, the post of Chief Agricultural Officer or anyone working under his direction;
means the person for the time being holding or acting in the post of Chief Medical Officer or anyone working under his direction;
means a person authorized by the Board under section 10 to deal in poisons;
means the Governor in Council;
means a person licensed under the Health Practitioners' Law, 1974, to practise medicine or dentistry;
means a prescribed pharmaceutical product or class of pharmaceutical products;
means a person licensed under the Health Practitioners' Law, 1974, to practise pharmacy and includes anyone acting under his direct supervision;
means a prescribed poisonous substance or class of poisonous substances;
means prescribed by this Law or any regulation made under it;
means an order or authorization issued and signed by a medical practitioner or veterinary surgeon to supply, administer or consume a pharmaceutical;
means a pharmaceutical prescribed as such which may not be dispensed or administered except under prescription and all drugs scheduled in the Misuse of Drugs Law, 1973;
has the meaning ascribed to it by the Veterinary Law, 1978
