Minimum pension

Notwithstanding any provision of this Law to the contrary, no pension provided under this Law and payable to a participant shall result in monthly payments, after commutation, of less than one thousand dollars; except that such minimum pension payments shall not apply to benefits payable to a surviving spouse or child upon the death of the participant.
