Prospecting for specified minerals may be prohibited

The Governor may, by notice in the Gazette, prohibit prospecting for any specified mineral, and in such case the holder of a prospecting right or exclusive prospecting licence shall not prospect for such specified mineral unless otherwise expressly provided in such right or licence.
