Penalty on tenants and their abettors fraudulently removing or concealing goods liable to distress

If any tenant or lessee fraudulently removes and conveys away his goods or chattels as aforesaid; or if any person wilfully and knowingly aids or assists such tenant or lessee in fraudulently conveying away or carrying off of any part of his or her goods or chattels, or, in concealing the same, every person or persons so offending shall forfeit and pay to the landlord or lessor from whose lands, tenements or hereditaments were fraudulently carried off as aforesaid, double the value of the goods carried off or concealed to be recovered by action of debt.
