Cayman Brac and Little Cayman Immigration Board

There is established a Board called the Cayman Brac and Little Cayman Immigration Board which shall consist of —
a Chairman;
a deputy Chairman; and
three other members appointed by the Cabinet.
The members of the Cayman Brac and Little Cayman Immigration Board shall be appointed by and hold office at the pleasure of the Cabinet.
The Cabinet may appoint committees of members of the Cayman Brac and Little Cayman Immigration Board and may delegate to any such committee such function of that Board as it considers necessary.
The Cabinet may appoint a Secretary to a committee appointed under subsection (3), and such Secretary shall have no right to vote.
A delegation under subsection (3) —
shall be in writing;
may be made subject to such limitations and conditions as are specified in the instrument of delegation;
may be determined at any time; and
does not affect the exercise of the delegated function of the Cayman Brac and Little Cayman Immigration Board.
The Cayman Brac and Little Cayman Immigration Board shall have the following functions and powers —
the processing and determination of applications for the grant or renewal of work permits, other than for an employer with a Business Staffing Plan Certificate, applied for by persons who are seeking gainful occupation in Cayman Brac or Little Cayman;
the determination of any ancillary matter connected with the grant of permits under paragraph (a); and
such other functions and powers within the scope of this Law as the Cabinet may, from time to time, assign to it by regulation.
Subject to subsection (8), sections 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16 and 18 with all necessary amendments shall be construed as applying also to the Cayman Brac and Little Cayman Immigration Board.
Three members of the Cayman Brac and Little Cayman Immigration Board present at any meeting shall form a quorum.
