Offences concerning directives

A person who knowingly makes a false or misleading statement in, or relating to, a directive commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction —
to, if the offence was committed when the person was a proxy appointed under the directive, a fine of twenty thousand dollars or to imprisonment for two years, or both; or
to a fine of ten thousand dollars.
A person who knowingly makes a false or misleading statement relating to an attempt to make a directive commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of ten thousand dollars.
