Penalty for keeping common gaming house

A person who, being the owner or occupier of any house, office, room or other place, or a person using the same, opens, keeps or uses the same for either of the purposes mentioned in section 19, and any person who being the owner or occupier of any house, office, room or other place, knowingly and wilfully permits the same to be opened, kept or used by any other person for either of the said purposes, and any person having the care or management of or in any manner, conducting or assisting in conducting the business of any house, office, room or place opened, kept or used for either of the said purposes commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of one hundred dollars, and in default of payment to imprisonment for six months, with or without hard labour.
