Transfer of requests

Where an application is made to a public authority for a record —
which is held by another public authority; or
the subject-matter of which is more closely connected with the functions of another public authority,
the first mentioned public authority shall transfer the application or such part of it as may be appropriate to that other public authority, and shall inform the applicant immediately of the transfer or in such period as may be prescribed in regulations.
A transfer of an application pursuant to subsection (1) shall be made as soon as practicable but not later than ten calendar days after the date of receipt of the application.
