6. (1) The Director of the Needs Assessment Unit shall continue as the Director of the Department of Financial Assistance, whose office is a public office and who is appointed by the chief officer, in accordance with the Public Service Management Act (2018 Revision).
The officers of the Needs Assessment Unit shall continue as the officers of the Department of Financial Assistance, whose offices are public offices and who are appointed by the chief officer, in accordance with the Public Service Management Act (2018 Revision), to assist the Director in the discharge of the Director’s duties.
The chief officer, in accordance with the Public Service Management Act (2018 Revision) may, in the chief officer’s discretion, appoint such persons to be officers of the Department.
