A person who for the purpose of obtaining, whether for that person or another, the grant of a permit or a certificate, —
makes a statement which that person knows to be false or misleading in a material particular;
furnishes a document or information which that person knows to be false or misleading in a material particular;
recklessly makes a statement or representation which is false or misleading in a material particular; or
recklessly furnishes a document or information which is false or misleading in a material particular,
commits an offence.
Where a permit or a certificate has been granted under this Act and, for the purpose of obtaining its grant, a person commits an offence under subsection (1), the permit or certificate shall be void.
