Any person, including an officer, giving information or assistance to the Customs and Border Control leading to —
the detection of smuggling
the discovery in any unauthorised place of uncustomed goods
the seizure of any vessel or goods
the conviction of any person for an offence under this Act
may be paid out of Customs and Border Control's funds such reward as the Director, in the Director's discretion, may in each case determine
