Release of prisoners in general

The Board may order the conditional release on licence of any prisoner, after the prisoner has served the period specified in section 7(1) and in doing so shall comply with sections 9 and 10.
A licence granted to a prisoner under this section may be made subject to such reasonable conditions, if any, as appear to the Board to be desirable and any such conditions may be varied from time to time or cancelled by the Board, after considering the report of the Director of the Department of Community Rehabilitation, or any person authorised by him, prepared in accordance with section 9.
A prisoner released on licence under this section shall comply with such conditions, if any, as may be specified in the licence.
A licence granted to a prisoner shall remain in force until the expiration of the term of his sentence, unless it is revoked earlier.
