Time for registration

39. (1) All instruments shall be presented for registration within forty-five days of the signature of the first, or the only, named party therein.
Where an instrument is presented for registration after the period specified in subsection (1), there shall be payable, in addition to the registration fee, the late registration fee.
The late registration fee referred to in subsection (2) shall be —
an amount equal to the registration fee; and
payable in respect of each period of forty-five days following the end of the period referred to in subsection (1).
