Duty of Senior Medical Officer of Health

The Senior Medical Officer of Health shall take such steps as may be necessary to secure, as far as practical, that the Islands are kept free from rats and mice and in particular —
from time to time, cause to be carried out such inspection as may be necessary for the purpose aforesaid;
secure the destruction of the rats or mice on Government premises and otherwise to keep such premises, as far as practical, free from rats and mice; and
enforce the duties of owners and occupiers of premises under sections 43 to 47 and to carry out such operations as are authorised therein.
