Time limit for summary proceedings

An offence under this Law that is triable summarily shall be tried —
at any time within three years after the commission of the offence; or
within twelve months after the date on which evidence sufficient in the opinion of the Director of Public Prosecutions to justify the proceedings comes to his knowledge.
