Certificate

Upon appointment of a person as a notary public, the Clerk shall issue a certificate to the person in the form set out in Schedule 4.
On appointment as a notary public, the certificate shall be valid until the thirty-first day of January in the year following the appointment.
Where the notary public complies with the requirements under section 8, the Clerk shall endorse the certificate to the effect that the person named therein is authorised to act as a notary public until the thirty-first day of January in the following year.
