Disqualification of Council members

The Governor shall terminate the appointment of any Council member who —
resigns from the office from which his membership of the Council arises;
becomes of unsound mind or incapable of carrying out his duties;
becomes bankrupt or suspends payment to or compounds with his creditors;
is convicted in the Islands or in any other jurisdiction of an offence involving dishonesty or fraud or of any indictable offence;
is guilty of serious misconduct in relation to his duties; or
is absent, without leave of the Chairman of the Council, from three consecutive meetings of the Council.
The Governor, in his discretion, may terminate the appointment of any Council member.
