The Cabinet may, from time to time, after consultation with the board, give to the Authority, in writing, such general directions as appear to the Cabinet to be necessary in the public interest, and the Authority shall act in accordance with such directions.
If it appears to the Authority that the regulatory laws, or any regulations or directions made or issued thereunder, are to any extent inconsistent with the Authority's regulatory functions, the Authority shall make recommendations to the Cabinet and, if so required by the Minister charged with responsibility for Financial Services, shall conduct private sector consultation with respect to such recommendations.
In its relations with the Cabinet, the Authority shall direct its communication in writing through the Minister charged with responsibility for Financial Services.
