66. (1) Any employer who contravenes the general duty imposed by section 58 commits an offence.
Any operator of a workplace who fails to discharge any obligation imposed upon that person by section 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62 or 63 commits an offence.
Any employee who contravenes section 64 commits an offence.
Any person served with a remedial notice who fails to comply with the requirements thereof within the time specified therein, or within such further period as the Appeals Tribunal may allow under section 65(3), commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of one thousand dollars and to a further fine of one hundred dollars per day for each day on which non- compliance occurs after conviction.
Where an act or default for which an employer or the operator of a workplace is liable is in fact the act or default of some other person, that other person shall also be deemed to have committed an offence and is liable to the same penalty as if that person were the employer or operator.
