Certification of health care facilities

The Commission may, upon an application being made to it, issue a certificate to any person to operate a health care facility.
The Commission shall issue a certificate subject to the provisions of this Act and to such other terms and conditions as it considers appropriate.
An application for a certificate shall be made in writing in such manner and in such form as the Commission shall determine from time to time and shall be accompanied by the prescribed fee.
An applicant shall provide the Commission with any further information that the Commission requires in considering that person’s application.
The Commission may require an applicant to attend personally before the Commission and, if the applicant fails to attend, the Commission may refuse the application.
