Appointment and qualifications of Chief Justice and Judges

The Governor, acting in the Governor's discretion, shall appoint persons who are qualified for appointment under subsection (2) to be the Chief Justice and the Judges. The person appointed to be Chief Justice shall take precedence of and have seniority over the other Judges.
Any person qualified to practise as a barrister or solicitor in England or in an equivalent capacity in a Commonwealth country approved by the Governor as having comparable standards for call or admission to practise and who has so practised for not less than ten years shall be qualified to be appointed a Judge.
