33. (1) A person who has reasonable grounds for believing that another person is engaging or has engaged in discrimination contrary to this Law may, in the form approved by the Tribunal, file a complaint with the Tribunal.
On receiving a complaint under subsection (1), the Tribunal shall —
record the complaint and furnish to the complainant and the person against whom the claim is made a copy of that record signed by the person receiving the complaint; and Section 34 Gender Equality Law, 2011 Page 18 Law 21 of 2011 c
furnish to the complainant and the person against whom the claim is made a prescribed statement setting out the procedures that will be followed respecting the complaint and the rights of the complainant.
A complaint shall be made within six months from the date on which the alleged acts, the basis of the complaint, were done except that, where a complaint is made after that time, the Tribunal may if the reasons for the delay are reasonable, accept that complaint.
The Tribunal may, adopt such procedures it considers appropriate in the circumstances to determine a particular complaint.
