A person shall not induce or attempt to induce another person to do any act which contravenes Part 2 by —
providing or offering to provide that other person with any benefit; or
subjecting or threatening to subject that other person to any detriment.
An offer or threat is not prevented from falling within subsection (1), because it is not made directly to the person in question, if it is made in such a way that the person is likely to hear it or hear of it.
A person who contravenes subsection (1) commits an offence and is liable on summary conviction to a fine of five thousand dollars.
