Re-export certificates

The Management Authority may grant a re-export certificate only if it is satisfied that the following conditions are met —
that the specimen was imported in accordance with the provisions of this Act and the Convention;
that the Scientific Authority considers that the re-export will not be detrimental to the survival of any species listed in Parts 1 or 2 of the Schedule in any part of its range and that there are no other material conservation objections to the re-export of the specimen;
in the case of a live specimen, that it will be so prepared and shipped as to minimise the risk of injury, damage to health or cruel treatment; and
in the case of a live specimen of a species listed in Column I of Part 1 of the Schedule, that an import permit has been granted by the management authority of the country of destination.
