Functions of general manager

The general manager shall —
be responsible for the proper management of the affairs of the Bank and shall be accountable to the Board for the daily administration of the Bank;
be responsible for carrying out the functions of the Bank in accordance with the decisions of the Board;
provide technical advice and guidance on matters of policy and strategic planning; and
assign to any other officers and servants of the Bank such duties as he may think fit for the performance of the Bank’s functions.
In the absence of the general manager, the Board may appoint any person to act as general manager upon such terms and conditions as it may determine, and any person so appointed may exercise all the powers and duties pertaining to the office of the general manager under this Law.
