In the exercise of its powers and discharge of its functions, the Bank shall conform with any general directions on matters of policy given to it by the Minister in the public interest.
The Board of Directors shall give to the Minister such information or advice as he may require as to the performance of its functions under this Law.
When the Board of Directors determines that compliance with such a direction would be commercially or otherwise unsound the Board of Directors shall not be under any duty to comply with it until the Cabinet has given the Board of Directors a written undertaking that the Government will reimburse the Board of Directors for any losses incurred in relation to that compliance.
