Commanding Officer may excuse from military training

A member of the Regiment may apply to the Commanding Officer to be excused from undergoing all or any of the military training required by section 20, on the ground that the person would thereby be caused undue hardship.
The Commanding Officer shall hear the application under subsection (1) and shall make such directive as appears to Commanding Officer to be just and where a member of the Regiment is excused, the Commanding Officer shall issue to the person a certificate accordingly.
Where the Commanding Officer makes a directive excusing in whole or in part the attendance of a member of the Regiment at annual camp the directive may contain a condition that the person so excused shall undergo additional military training by way of additional drills, and any such condition shall be included in the certificate referred to in subsection (2).
