Registrar to implement security measures

23. (1) The Registrar shall take necessary technical and organisational measures and implement necessary safeguards to secure the information in the register and the card database, and maintain its confidentiality, integrity and availability so it is secured and protected against —
access, use or disclosure not permitted under this Act or the regulations; and
destruction, loss or damage, whether accidental or intentional.
Without prejudice to subsection (1), the Registrar shall adopt and implement necessary technological and physical security measures to preserve the confidentiality of the information submitted and collected in relation to the Cayman Islands Identification Card System.
