Authentication of identity of a holder of a Cayman Islands Identification Card

21. (1) A Cayman Islands Identification Card may be used to authenticate the identity of its rightful holder.
The digital features of the Cayman Islands Identification Card may be used to facilitate receipt of services electronically from a public authority. Cayman Islands Identification Card Act, 2022 Section 22 c Act 15 of 2022 Page 21
A public authority may rely on, in its provision of public services, the use of a person’s Cayman Islands Identification Card for authentication of the person’s identity or any other purpose as determined by the public authority.
