Repeal of the Adoption Law (2003 Revision) and transitional

The Adoption Law (2003 Revision) is repealed.
Where immediately before the coming into operation of this Law -
an application has been made under the repealed Law for an order of adoption and the application has not been finally determined; or
a child has been placed in the custody of a person for the purpose of adoption, the consents to adoption required under the repealed Law have been given and any necessary consent has been given,
the application for an order of adoption in respect of that child shall continue to be dealt with and completed or otherwise determined in all respects as if this Law had not been passed.
Before the commencement of this Law, the Governor in Cabinet shall, in exercise of the powers contained in section 31 of the Interpretation Law (1995 Revision) -
as read with section 5 of this Law, appoint the Chairman and other members of the Board; and
as read with section 39 of this Law, make regulations.
