Oversight of the designated authority by the Governor

The Governor shall be responsible for —
overseeing and inspecting the work of the designated authority;
reviewing annual reports submitted by the designated authority under section 9; and
the discipline of the designated authority.
Pursuant to subsection (1), the Governor, in his discretion, may give to the designated authority directions as to the policy to be followed in the exercise and performance of the functions of the designated authority in relation to matters appearing to the Governor to concern the public interest and the designated authority shall give effect to any such directions.
