Dates of service of notices

Where this Law authorises or requires any document to be served on or sent or delivered to any person, such service, sending or delivery is deemed to be properly effected by properly addressing, pre-paying and posting a letter containing the document to the person at his address as recorded on the land register maintained under the Registered Land Law (2018 Revision) in respect of the land in question or at his last-known address or place of business and, unless the contrary is proved, to have been effected at the time at which the letter would be delivered in the ordinary course of post.
