Minister's responsibility in relation to public lands

Subject to any other Law, the Minister shall have responsibility for Government policy respecting public land.
The Minister may delegate any of the Minister's responsibilities under this section to the Commission, a statutory authority or a government company.
The Minister may, after consultation with the Commission, give such general directions as to the policy to be followed by the Commission in the performance of its functions under this Act as appear to the Minister to be necessary in the public interest, and the Commission shall give effect to the directions.
