Prior to making an order under section 4 or 6, the court shall require the applicant or the missing person to provide evidence, whether by way of affidavit or otherwise, that notice of the relevant application has been served on any person who may be affected by the making of the order.
The court shall not make an order under section 4 or 6 unless it is satisfied that the applicant or the missing person has complied with the requirements of subsection (1).
