25. (1) An offender may be dealt with in respect of a suspended sentence by the Grand Court or, where the sentence was passed by a court of summary jurisdiction, by the court before which the offender appears or is brought.
Where an offender is convicted by a court of summary jurisdiction of an offence punishable with imprisonment and the court is satisfied that the offence was committed during the continuance of a suspended sentence passed by the Grand Court — Section 26 Penal Code (2026 Revision) Page 24 Revised as at 31st December, 2025 c
the court may, if it thinks fit, commit that offender in custody or on bail to the Grand Court; and
if it does not, shall give written notice of the conviction to the Grand Court.
For the purposes of this section and of section 26, a suspended sentence passed on an offender on appeal shall be treated as having been passed by the court by which the offender was originally sentenced.
