Remarriage of surviving spouse or entering into a subsequent civil partnership or marriage by a surviving civil partner

The surviving spouse or civil partner of a former member of a pension plan who is receiving a pension under such pension plan remains entitled to such pension notwithstanding the subsequent remarriage of such surviving spouse or or the entering into a subsequent civil partnership or marriage by such surviving civil partner.
Subsection (1) applies in respect of pensions which are first paid after the 1st June, 1998.
